Health Service Associate
Do you have experience with health insurance or Medicare? Are you organized and able to work independently? Do you have exceptional attention to detail and an ability to complete error-free work? Are you computer-savvy? Do you enjoy assisting clients while providing exceptional service? If so, you may be the person we are looking for to work at our agency.
We are looking for a Health Service Associate to provide a variety of support to our health advisors, especially during open enrollment season. Riesterer Financial offers Medicare and health insurance to meet the various needs of clients. As a client orientated firm, we need an individual who shares our desire to help educate and foster client relationships.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Prepare and process applications and paperwork from start to finish and have some knowledge of compliance, reviewing for completeness before submission and track pending business paperwork.
- Anticipate health advisors needs and handle them proactively.
- Maintain health advisors and client’s files.
- Assist health advisors in client meeting preparation.
- Participate in trainings and webinars to stay informed of industry changes or trends.
- Contact clients to maintain and enhance relationships or obtain updated information.
- Update and use CRM system efficiently to handle tasks, scheduling, follow up, new client entry.
- Track agency and client information.
- Answer phone calls, handle customer service, client needs, schedule appointments.
- Provide coverage in the health department when needed.
- Be back up to the administrative assistant as needed.
- Additional responsibilities when needed.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- WI Life & Health Insurance license desired or obtained within six months upon hire.
- High school diploma/GED required college degree a plus.
- 1 or more years of customer services experience.
- Experience with business technology (e.g., Outlook, Microsoft Office, Adobe, and Salesforce).
- Experience or understanding of Medicare and health insurance.
- Ability to maintain integrity of sensitive/confidential information.
- High level of efficiency with strong attention to detail.
- Strong verbal skills with the ability to present complex ideas in a clear, compelling fashion.
- Self-motivated, independent, and dependable.
- Driven to succeed and motivated to help others.
- Able to use good judgement to provide guidance and answers to clients.
- Exceptional problem-solving skills with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
